NGO Gariwo in Užice Gymnasium

Svetlana Broz, NGO Gariwo director, and Amer Tikveša, NGO Gariwo PR manager held two lectures for students of third and fourth grade of Užice gymnasium on 19th April.

They talked with students about examples of civil courage in the world and ex Yugoslav context. The students were shown two films: Education with Dignity, a film about Melisa Ismičić, and Human, a film about Duško Kondor. They also were given a book Step Forward, a brochure with the names of laureates of Duško Kondor civil courage award since 2008. to 2013th and statements of awards, and a CD with the songs Do it – an Ode to Civil Courage performed by Irina Kapetanović. Students were invited to cooperate with NGOs Gariwo through affirmation of civil courage.
